Where to Go
Where to go in West Adams, Crenshaw-Jefferson Park, Koreatown, Downtown, and Mid-City and Larchmont. We have updated our restaurant guide as of the first two weeks of August 2012, dropped the ones that have closed and added some new choices.
West Adams
Highlights include the 29 Cafe on Hoover, Harold and Belle's famous Cajun eatery, the historic El Cholo, and a few from adjacent Pico Union such the amazing Papa Cristo's Taverna and Dino's Burgers.
Koreatown
Here are some of the better recommended Korean restaurants, and a few other types that are located in Koreatown.
Eating Downtown
Generally steeper than the neighborhood spots. PARKING: Most downtown parking lots have highly reduced rates after 4 pm. Parking is generally cheaper as you move south, highest near City Hall, Disney Hall, and the Music Center.
Mid-City and Larchmont
Highlights include the Campanile on LaBrea, created by the founder of the LaBrea Bakery, Langer's for that old-fashioned corned beef on rye, and Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles for that down home touch. Larchmont is a bit out of our area, not quite to Hollywood, but we wanted to add Le Pain Quotidien and Cafe Gratitude.
