Frederick H. Rindge house, ca. 1902-1903.
Description: Exterior view of the Frederick H. Rindge residence [2263 S. Harvard Blvd.], a photo taken of a printed source. The 2-1/2 story frame and stone house is a mixture of Richardsonian Romanesque and Queen Anne styles, designed by architect Frederick Louis Roehrig and built in 1902. It was later owned by First AME Church. [According to the current owner the Library is incorrect that the house was ever owned by the First AME Church. The owner also suggests that the style is French Normandy Chateauesqe, not either Richardson Romanesque or Queen Anne, and that seems correct to us. Today the house serves as the offices of the Law Firm of Harold Greenberg.]
